ON A MISSION OF COMPASSION.
WITHIN THE LAW
ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY IS A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS COMMITTED TO
HELPING PEOPLE IN THEIR TIMES OF NEED. THE PLACER COUNTY
LAW ENFORCEMENT CHAPLAINCY (PCLEC) IS A FIELD SERVICE TO LAW
ENFORCEMENT, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE PLACER COUNTY COMMUNITY.
COMPRISED OF SPECIALLY TRAINED ORDAINED MINISTERS, THE
CHAPLAINCY PROVIDES CRISIS RESPONSE SERVICES AT NO COST, BUT AT
GREAT BENEFIT, TO THE COMMUNITY.
BECAUSE OUR CHAPLAINS DO SUCH IMPORTANT WORK,
THEY ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE FORMAL THEOLOGICAL TRAINING AT THE
COLLEGE OR GRADUATE LEVEL, AS WELL AS PASTORAL EXPERIENCE.
EACH INDIVIDUAL UNDERGOES A COMPREHENSIVE BACKGROUND
INVESTIGATION AND RECEIVES REGULAR MONTHLY TRAINING IN ISSUES
RELATED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CRISIS RESPONSE.

RAYS OF LIGHT
IN TIMES OF NEED
Our chaplains provide a valuable service to law
enforcement and the community as the pillars of strength that
are called upon when crisis or tragedy strikes. Placer
County law enforcement agencies have to depend upon the
chaplaincy for critical incident stress management and
counseling when facing the challenges that confront them in the
line of duty - challenges such as fatal accidents, deaths,
horrific crimes, family distress and any tragic circumstance
associated with their jobs.
The chaplaincy is also proud to work alongside
law enforcement officers and employees on a day-to-day basis
through regular agency visit, ride-alongs, participation in
official events and community projects such as Neighborhood
Night Out, Police Memorial Week and Every 15 minutes programs in
local high schools.
WORKING TOGETHER
The community Crisis Response Team is a division PLCEC that
focuses on the needs of the community. Crisis Responders
assist citizens when tragedy strikes and a reassuring touch is
needed. Crisis Responders provide rays of light through
crisis intervention, grief counseling and encouragement to
victims and family members, as well as stress management to
business and schools that experience tragedy.
